Freshwater Marauder Jay Pee the Hip Hop Fisherman aka JPTHHF straight out of Chitown representing the CAST CREW from the days of its infancy. This experienced angler embodies the lifestyle that we represent and will stop at nothing to succeed in his quest to sink a hook into an underwater creature. He is on the Pro Staff of StankX Baits and has a signature colorway named after himself! Check out this piece ripped from the archives done by DJ Castlerock to get a glimpse into the life of Jay Pee.

I have been fishing for as long as I can remember. It got serious with fishing at about age 12, was a full blown addict by age 16, and have never stopped. You know they say the average male thinks about sex every 6 seconds…. I think about Bass fishing ABOUT EVERY 4 SECONDS.” -JPTHHF

Chicago native, Stephan “DJ Scend” Steciw, is anything but a stranger to music. At the young age of 5 he chose to pursue learningthe piano and by 10 he moved onto and mastered the guitar. The musical influence he had through his father played a big role in developing a love that would eventually grow into a passion and a dream. His experiences while attending local shows brought to light the way crowds can be controlled through music; a control that lay at the hands of the DJ. By 18, he understood his ability to blend music of all genres into a set that worked was something he couldn’t take for granted; and so he invested in his first set of turntables and began to work toward a career goal. Working mainly with House and Hip Hop and serving as his own promoter, in 2007 he landed resident spots in clubs, lounges and bars around the Chicagoland area. Also in 2007, he played a street festival for a crowd of over 500 people and for two consecutive years he played at Chicago’s Fiesta Del Sol. In just his first year at CRB Radio his house mixes landed international play and two of his mixes, “For Lil Lady” and “Dig My Style”, were in rotation at three different coffee shops in Canada. It was in 2010 that Scend met Moleman Records recording artist, Scheme. After doing a couple of live shows together Scheme approached him with an offer to be his personal and full-time DJ. Knowing this was the right move, Scend quit the bars and clubs. Since then the duo has kept busy opening and headlining show both locally and nationally. DJ Scend’s love for music has brought him full circle into production and engineering and today he is steadily busy working on various Hip Hop and House music projects. DJ Scend’s work is a full display of his passion for music and as he constantly looks for ways to perfect his craft his passion and talent grow. His determination to bring quality music to the forefront of the industry is apparent in every project he gets involved with, and it’s no question we’re nowhere near hearing the last of DJ Scend and his team.

Peace to DJ SCEND for blessing us with this minimix. Make sure you keep an eye out for SCEND! www.DJSCEND.com

Born just outside of Motown, Ryan Jury found his musical soul at a very young age in the late 90’s Detroit Underground scene. At 18 he moved to Chicago, and a few years later he met up with Douglas Titcomb, a native DJ and Engineer with over 10 years experience. The two powerhouse dance cities, Detroit and Chicago, merged to create the inspired dual-midwest style of The Souled Out Project (TSOP).

Ryan not only has skills in the booth and in the studio, but he also has skills on the water. Check them out on ReverbNation.
